Bringing together 10 commonly used construction safety signs in one convenient bundle, Pack H is designed for builders, contractors and site managers who need a useful core selection of signage without purchasing one of our larger construction packs.
It's a practical choice for setting up a smaller project, replacing existing signs or adding to construction signage already in use.

Construction Safety Pack H is particularly suitable for:
-
Small-to-medium construction sites
-
Building and refurbishment projects
-
Builders and contractors
-
New project set-up
-
Refreshing existing site signage
-
Replacing damaged or missing signs
-

Why Choose a 10-Sign Construction Pack?
A 10-sign pack provides a useful middle ground between a small supplementary sign pack and one of our larger construction site bundles.
It can provide a broader selection for a new project while remaining compact enough for smaller sites and contractors who already have some signage available.
Buying the signs together can also make site set-up quicker and easier than selecting each sign individually.
Construction Site Entrance Signage
The entrance to a construction site is an important location for safety information.
Depending on the signs included in Pack H and the arrangements for your site, entrance signage may communicate:
-
Site hazards
-
Access restrictions
-
Visitor instructions
-
PPE requirements
-
Other important site rules
Position signs so workers, visitors and contractors can see the relevant information before entering the controlled area.
PPE Requirements
Where personal protective equipment is required, PPE signage can reinforce requirements for equipment such as:
-
Safety helmets
-
High-visibility clothing
-
Safety footwear
-
Eye protection
-
Hearing protection
-
Protective gloves
-
Respiratory protection
Only display PPE instructions that genuinely apply to the site or particular work area.
Hazard & Warning Signs
Construction projects can involve many different hazards.
General construction packs may include warning signage, but additional signs could be required for site-specific hazards such as:
-
Deep excavations
-
Electrical hazards
-
Overhead cables
-
Underground services
-
Demolition
-
Asbestos
-
Confined spaces
-
Moving vehicles
Check Pack H against the hazards identified for your particular project.
Fire & Emergency Signage
Construction projects also need appropriate emergency arrangements.
Depending on the site, additional signage may be needed to identify:
-
Fire exits
-
Fire points
-
Fire extinguishers
-
Fire action information
-
First-aid facilities
-
Assembly points
Fire and emergency arrangements can change as construction work progresses, so signage should be reviewed throughout the project.
Where Should the 10 Signs Be Displayed?
Don't automatically display all 10 signs together.
Position each sign where its particular message is relevant.
For example:
Site entrance – access, visitor and general PPE requirements.
Site perimeter – appropriate Keep Out and warning signs.
Work areas – hazard-specific and additional PPE instructions.
Vehicle routes – relevant traffic and pedestrian information.
Fire points – fire equipment information.
First-aid location – First Aid signage.
Assembly area – Assembly Point signage.
The aim is to provide the right information at the point where somebody needs it.
Does Pack H Include Every Sign My Construction Site Needs?
Not necessarily.
There is no single standard set of safety signs suitable for every construction project.
The signage needed will depend on factors including:
-
Work activities
-
Hazards
-
Site layout
-
Access arrangements
-
PPE requirements
-
Vehicle and pedestrian movements
-
Fire arrangements
-
First-aid provision
-
Contractors and visitors
-
Risks to members of the public
Pack H should therefore be treated as a convenient selection of construction safety signs rather than a universal compliance pack.
Check the contents against your project's risk assessments and safety arrangements and add further signage where required.
10-Sign Pack or a Larger Construction Sign Pack?
Pack H can be a good choice if you need a useful core selection of signs but don't require one of our larger bundles.
Consider a larger Construction Sign Pack if:
-
You have a large site
-
There are several site entrances
-
You need duplicate signs
-
The project contains several different work areas
-
You manage multiple construction sites
-
You want to keep additional replacement signage in stock
For a smaller project or where you already own some construction signs, this 10-sign pack may provide a more appropriate starting point.
Need Additional Signs?
Supplement Pack H with individual signage according to your project's requirements.
Explore:
-
Construction Safety Signs
-
PPE Signs
-
Hazard & Warning Signs
-
Mandatory Safety Signs
-
Fire Safety Signs
-
First Aid Signs
-
Electrical Safety Signs
-
Site Safety Boards
-
Site Safety Banners
This allows you to build a signage package around the actual hazards and arrangements of the project.
Choosing the Right Sign Material
Choose a material appropriate for where and how long the signs will be displayed.
Consider:
-
Indoor or outdoor use
-
Exposure to weather
-
Temporary or longer-term installation
-
Mounting surface
-
Sign rigidity
-
Risk of damage

UK Health & Safety Regulations
The Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 1974 is a foundational law in the UK for workplace health and safety. It outlines the general duties of various parties to ensure a safe work environment. Here's a quick summary: Duty of Employers: Employers must provide a safe workplace, ensure the health, safety and welfare of their employees and anyone else on the premises (visitors, contractors etc.). This includes providing adequate training, information, and supervision. Employee Duties: Employees have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others around them. This includes following safety procedures and using equipment properly. Other Duties: The Act also places duties on those responsible for premises, manufacturers of equipment used at work, and the self-employed. Safety signage is one way employers can fulfill their duty to inform and instruct employees. Signs can warn of hazards, provide instructions for safe use of equipment, and delineate emergency exits. While HSWA outlines general principles, specific regulations and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) provide more detailed guidance on workplace health and safety practices. For up-to-date information, you can refer to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) website https://www.gov.uk/health-and-safety-executive.

Sign Materials Guide
Choosing the right material for your safety signs is crucial for ensuring their effectiveness and durability. We proudly manufacture all our signs in Britain. Let us guide you in selecting the most suitable material for your signs.
Self-adhesive stickers
Self-adhesive stickers are ideal for indoor usage. We use superior-quality Metamark digital vinyl, which is a durable and flexible material with an adhesive backing. Prior to applying the sticker, ensure that the surface is flat, smooth, and clean. While the vinyl is waterproof, we do not recommend outdoor usage unless the surface is deemed appropriate. It is important to note that vinyl stickers do not stick to wood, rendered, wood chip, brick or stone walls, concrete, or similar surfaces. In such cases, we suggest considering alternative materials such as recycled plastic or composite aluminium. Please be aware that Self-adhesive stickers, such as Dulux Easycare Matt Emulsion paint, will not adhere to newly formulated washable, "wipe clean" painted surfaces. If you have any uncertainties or inquiries, feel free to ask us. Additionally, we advise against attempting to independently apply Self-adhesive stickers larger than A4 size, as it may be more challenging than anticipated.
Recyclable Plastic
Introducing Polyline Bubble Board, the latest innovation in the sign industry, made from 100% recyclable polypropylene. Manufactured in the EU by Pyramid, this eco-friendly material offers an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, with a smooth, flute-free surface—unlike Correx.
The Bubble Board features a fire-retardant (FR) black core, making it an ideal choice for projects that require enhanced safety measures. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it is UV-treated for excellent weather resistance, and its scratch-resistant surface outperforms traditional Foamex. Fully recyclable through the No.5 waste stream, Bubble Board is a sustainable and reliable option for UK safety signage.
Rigid Plastic
Rigid Plastic Signs are commonly used for safety signs due to their durability and lightweight design. Our Plastic 1mm option is lightweight and durable, providing waterproof qualities. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Fixing holes can be drilled in the plastic at no additional cost.
We take pride in being the inaugural online sign manufacturer in the UK to present our complete product line of health and safety signs and general signage in 50% recycled plastic. Our new 3mm waterproof recycled plastic, which is bright white in colour, is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is more eco-friendly compared to traditional rigid plastic. It possesses the same surface qualities as rigid and foamed plastic but incorporates a lighter recycled foam PVC centre. Furthermore, this material is 100% recyclable and offers an exceptional printing surface for various signage applications. You have the option to drill fixing holes or use foam adhesive pads on the back for mounting the signs.
Aluminium Composite
Our Metal Signs, constructed from Aluminium Composite (Dibond Signs), are specifically crafted for outdoor usage. The aluminium composite consists of a non-aluminium core bonded between two thin sheets, resulting in a sturdy and weather-resistant sign. We utilize 3mm thick composite aluminium, sourced from ALUPANEL in Britain. This material is produced from at least 80% recycled materials and is completely recyclable. It can be easily drilled to install holes, and we provide pre-drilled holes upon request at no extra cost. Dibond signs are well-known for their durability and long lifespan, making them a fantastic option for outdoor signage.
Foamex
Foamed Plastic Signs, or Foamex, are a popular choice for temporary construction site safety boards. This material is durable yet lightweight, weatherproof, and specifically designed for outdoor signage. Our foamex is 3mm thick and has a white matte finish.
Correx
Fluted Polypropylene, also known as Correx, is designed for temporary signage, especially in the construction industry. It offers a cost-effective and lightweight solution for short-term signage needs.
Banners
Here are the details about our banner options:
Standard and Premium Banner Materials
We offer a standard 440gsm PVC Banner, which is lightweight, weather-resistant, flame-resistant, and has a gloss finish. It is suitable for indoor and short-term outdoor use.
- Our Premium 510gsm Extra-Strong PVC Banner is designed for higher tear resistance and durability. It is weather-resistant, suitable for indoor and long-term outdoor use, and meets UK and European fire safety standards. It has a satin finish.
Mesh Banner Material
- The 260gsm MESH Banner is perfect for windy areas, as its perforated design allows wind and some light to pass through, preventing ripping.
All our banners are printed with high-quality, eco-friendly UV inks. They are hemmed and eyelet for easy fixing, and cable ties are provided at no extra charge.

Frequently Asked Questions About Construction Site Signs
What are the required safety signs for a UK construction site?
Under Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015), building sites must prominently display a mix of mandatory signs (e.g., "PPE Must Be Worn"), prohibition signs ("No Unauthorised Access"), hazard warnings ("Danger Construction Site"), and clear fire exit route markers. Our multi-message site safety boards combine all these necessary warnings onto a single layout.
Which sign material is best for temporary scaffolding and building sites?
For temporary construction environments, Fluted Polypropylene (Correx) and Foamed Plastic (Foamex) are highly recommended. Correx is incredibly lightweight, waterproof, and easily attached to scaffolding grids or fencing using cable ties. For longer-term development projects or hoarding displays, we suggest upgrading to rigid plastic or durable aluminium composite (dibond) panels.
Do you offer bulk trade pricing for large construction projects?
Yes, we specialise in supplying trade accounts and major contractors across the UK. The Safety Sheep Store offers bulk trade discounts of up to 35% on multi-packs and volume orders. All our building site signs are proudly manufactured in our Yorkshire facility, allowing us to pass direct factory savings straight to your project budget.
