Best For
Construction Safety Pack F is particularly suited to:
-
Medium and larger construction sites
-
New site set-ups
-
Building contractors
-
Refurbishment and development projects
-
Main contractors managing multiple work areas
-
Replacing damaged or missing site signage
-
Contractors keeping commonly used signs in stock
-
Businesses operating several construction projects
Why Choose a 25-Sign Construction Pack?
Larger construction sites often need safety information in several different locations.
A sign at the main entrance doesn't necessarily communicate a requirement to somebody approaching a separate work area, pedestrian gate or site boundary.
A 25-sign pack gives you greater flexibility to position individual signs around the project while providing a broader selection than a smaller starter pack.
It can also provide useful replacement signage as the project progresses.
A Practical Choice for New Construction Sites
Site signage requirements can quickly add up when setting up a new project.
You may need to consider:
-
Site entrances
-
Pedestrian access
-
Unauthorised access
-
PPE requirements
-
Hazard warnings
-
Vehicle movements
-
Fire arrangements
-
First-aid facilities
-
Assembly areas
-
Site offices
-
Visitors
-
Site boundaries
Pack F provides a convenient starting selection, with additional signs added according to the individual requirements of the project.
Site Entrance & Access Signs
Construction site entrances are an important location for safety information.
Where included in Pack F, access-related signs can help communicate instructions such as:
-
Keep Out
-
No Unauthorised Access
-
Visitors Must Report
-
Construction Site warnings
Position these where people can see the message before entering the relevant area.
PPE Signs
Construction projects can require different types of personal protective equipment.
Where included, Pack F may provide mandatory signs relating to requirements such as:
-
Safety helmets
-
High-visibility clothing
-
Safety footwear
-
Eye protection
-
Hearing protection
-
Protective gloves
Only display PPE instructions that genuinely apply to the site or work area.
Additional PPE signs can be purchased separately for specialist requirements.
Hazard & Warning Signs
Different stages of a construction project can introduce different hazards.
Warning signs can help communicate significant risks such as excavations, electrical hazards, overhead loads or moving vehicles where appropriate.
A general construction sign pack can't anticipate every project-specific hazard, so check whether additional Hazard & Warning Signs are required.
Fire & Emergency Signage
Construction sites also need appropriate emergency arrangements.
Depending on the contents of Pack F and the site itself, additional signage may be required for:
-
Fire exits
-
Fire points
-
Fire extinguishers
-
Fire action information
-
Assembly points
-
First aid
Fire and emergency signage should correspond with the actual arrangements in place.
Why Individual Signs Matter on Larger Sites
One advantage of a 25-sign pack is that the signs can be distributed around the project.
For example:
Main site entrance
General site rules and access requirements.
Pedestrian entrance
Visitor and PPE information.
Site perimeter
Access restrictions and relevant warnings.
Work areas
Hazard-specific and PPE instructions.
Vehicle routes
Traffic and pedestrian information.
Fire points
Relevant fire-safety signs.
First-aid facilities
First Aid signs.
Assembly area
Assembly Point signage.
This is usually clearer than attempting to communicate every message from one location.
Does Pack F Include Every Sign My Construction Site Needs?
Not necessarily.
There is no universal set of 25 signs suitable for every construction project.
The signage required depends on factors including:
-
Work activities
-
Hazards present
-
Site layout
-
Number of entrances
-
PPE requirements
-
Vehicle and pedestrian movements
-
Fire arrangements
-
First-aid provision
-
Contractors and visitors
-
Risks to members of the public
Check the contents of Pack F against your site's risk assessments and safety arrangements and add specialist signage where required.
25-Sign Pack or a Smaller Starter Pack?
A smaller 5- or 12-sign pack can be suitable where you need a compact selection of construction signage or already have signs available.
Pack F is a better option where you need a broader selection or more individual signs to distribute around the site.
It can therefore be particularly useful when setting up a new medium-sized project or replacing signage across several work areas.
Do I Need a Larger Construction Sign Pack?
For particularly large sites, contractors managing several projects or businesses wanting more replacement stock, one of our larger Construction Sign Packs may provide a more appropriate selection.
Consider:
-
Number of site entrances
-
Number of work areas
-
Size of site
-
Existing signage
-
Number of duplicate signs required
-
Project-specific hazards
-
Whether spare signs will be useful
The best pack is the one containing the greatest number of signs you'll actually use—not simply the pack with the highest sign count.
Construction Sign Pack or Site Safety Board?
A Construction Sign Pack gives you individual signs that can be distributed around a site.
A Site Safety Board combines several important instructions on one larger panel, often positioned at a main entrance.
Many projects benefit from using both.
For example, use a Site Safety Board at the principal entrance and individual Pack F signs at boundaries, work areas, fire points and other relevant locations.
Need Additional Signs?
Pack F can be supplemented with individual signs from our wider ranges, including:
-
Construction Safety Signs
-
PPE Signs
-
Hazard & Warning Signs
-
Mandatory Safety Signs
-
Fire Safety Signs
-
Fire Exit Signs
-
First Aid Signs
-
Electrical Safety Signs
-
Site Safety Boards
-
Site Safety Banners
This lets you tailor the signage to the actual requirements of the project.
Keep Site Signage Under Review
Construction sites change rapidly.
As work progresses:
-
Site layouts change
-
Access routes move
-
New hazards appear
-
Old hazards disappear
-
Contractors change
-
PPE requirements can change
-
Fire arrangements can change
-
Vehicle routes can change
Regularly check that signs remain relevant, clearly visible and in good condition.
Remove signage that no longer applies and introduce additional signs where new requirements arise.

UK Health & Safety Regulations
The Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 1974 is a foundational law in the UK for workplace health and safety. It outlines the general duties of various parties to ensure a safe work environment. Here's a quick summary: Duty of Employers: Employers must provide a safe workplace, ensure the health, safety and welfare of their employees and anyone else on the premises (visitors, contractors etc.). This includes providing adequate training, information, and supervision. Employee Duties: Employees have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others around them. This includes following safety procedures and using equipment properly. Other Duties: The Act also places duties on those responsible for premises, manufacturers of equipment used at work, and the self-employed. Safety signage is one way employers can fulfill their duty to inform and instruct employees. Signs can warn of hazards, provide instructions for safe use of equipment, and delineate emergency exits. While HSWA outlines general principles, specific regulations and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) provide more detailed guidance on workplace health and safety practices. For up-to-date information, you can refer to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) website https://www.gov.uk/health-and-safety-executive.

Sign Materials Guide
Choosing the right material for your safety signs is crucial for ensuring their effectiveness and durability. We proudly manufacture all our signs in Britain. Let us guide you in selecting the most suitable material for your signs.
Self-adhesive stickers
Self-adhesive stickers are ideal for indoor usage. We use superior-quality Metamark digital vinyl, which is a durable and flexible material with an adhesive backing. Prior to applying the sticker, ensure that the surface is flat, smooth, and clean. While the vinyl is waterproof, we do not recommend outdoor usage unless the surface is deemed appropriate. It is important to note that vinyl stickers do not stick to wood, rendered, wood chip, brick or stone walls, concrete, or similar surfaces. In such cases, we suggest considering alternative materials such as recycled plastic or composite aluminium. Please be aware that Self-adhesive stickers, such as Dulux Easycare Matt Emulsion paint, will not adhere to newly formulated washable, "wipe clean" painted surfaces. If you have any uncertainties or inquiries, feel free to ask us. Additionally, we advise against attempting to independently apply Self-adhesive stickers larger than A4 size, as it may be more challenging than anticipated.
Recyclable Plastic
Introducing Polyline Bubble Board, the latest innovation in the sign industry, made from 100% recyclable polypropylene. Manufactured in the EU by Pyramid, this eco-friendly material offers an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, with a smooth, flute-free surface—unlike Correx.
The Bubble Board features a fire-retardant (FR) black core, making it an ideal choice for projects that require enhanced safety measures. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it is UV-treated for excellent weather resistance, and its scratch-resistant surface outperforms traditional Foamex. Fully recyclable through the No.5 waste stream, Bubble Board is a sustainable and reliable option for UK safety signage.
Rigid Plastic
Rigid Plastic Signs are commonly used for safety signs due to their durability and lightweight design. Our Plastic 1mm option is lightweight and durable, providing waterproof qualities. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Fixing holes can be drilled in the plastic at no additional cost.
We take pride in being the inaugural online sign manufacturer in the UK to present our complete product line of health and safety signs and general signage in 50% recycled plastic. Our new 3mm waterproof recycled plastic, which is bright white in colour, is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is more eco-friendly compared to traditional rigid plastic. It possesses the same surface qualities as rigid and foamed plastic but incorporates a lighter recycled foam PVC centre. Furthermore, this material is 100% recyclable and offers an exceptional printing surface for various signage applications. You have the option to drill fixing holes or use foam adhesive pads on the back for mounting the signs.
Aluminium Composite
Our Metal Signs, constructed from Aluminium Composite (Dibond Signs), are specifically crafted for outdoor usage. The aluminium composite consists of a non-aluminium core bonded between two thin sheets, resulting in a sturdy and weather-resistant sign. We utilize 3mm thick composite aluminium, sourced from ALUPANEL in Britain. This material is produced from at least 80% recycled materials and is completely recyclable. It can be easily drilled to install holes, and we provide pre-drilled holes upon request at no extra cost. Dibond signs are well-known for their durability and long lifespan, making them a fantastic option for outdoor signage.
Foamex
Foamed Plastic Signs, or Foamex, are a popular choice for temporary construction site safety boards. This material is durable yet lightweight, weatherproof, and specifically designed for outdoor signage. Our foamex is 3mm thick and has a white matte finish.
Correx
Fluted Polypropylene, also known as Correx, is designed for temporary signage, especially in the construction industry. It offers a cost-effective and lightweight solution for short-term signage needs.
Banners
Here are the details about our banner options:
Standard and Premium Banner Materials
We offer a standard 440gsm PVC Banner, which is lightweight, weather-resistant, flame-resistant, and has a gloss finish. It is suitable for indoor and short-term outdoor use.
- Our Premium 510gsm Extra-Strong PVC Banner is designed for higher tear resistance and durability. It is weather-resistant, suitable for indoor and long-term outdoor use, and meets UK and European fire safety standards. It has a satin finish.
Mesh Banner Material
- The 260gsm MESH Banner is perfect for windy areas, as its perforated design allows wind and some light to pass through, preventing ripping.
All our banners are printed with high-quality, eco-friendly UV inks. They are hemmed and eyelet for easy fixing, and cable ties are provided at no extra charge.

Frequently Asked Questions About Construction Site Signs
What are the required safety signs for a UK construction site?
Under Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015), building sites must prominently display a mix of mandatory signs (e.g., "PPE Must Be Worn"), prohibition signs ("No Unauthorised Access"), hazard warnings ("Danger Construction Site"), and clear fire exit route markers. Our multi-message site safety boards combine all these necessary warnings onto a single layout.
Which sign material is best for temporary scaffolding and building sites?
For temporary construction environments, Fluted Polypropylene (Correx) and Foamed Plastic (Foamex) are highly recommended. Correx is incredibly lightweight, waterproof, and easily attached to scaffolding grids or fencing using cable ties. For longer-term development projects or hoarding displays, we suggest upgrading to rigid plastic or durable aluminium composite (dibond) panels.
Do you offer bulk trade pricing for large construction projects?
Yes, we specialise in supplying trade accounts and major contractors across the UK. The Safety Sheep Store offers bulk trade discounts of up to 35% on multi-packs and volume orders. All our building site signs are proudly manufactured in our Yorkshire facility, allowing us to pass direct factory savings straight to your project budget.
